Elena cleaned up after her paralyzed husband Jason for five years, held up Nova Group, and even lost her seven-month-old baby. It was not until she saw with her own eyes the "paralyzed" Jason on his feet, scheming to fake his death and flee with the funds alongside his mistress Chloe, that her heart truly died. She did not hesitate to sign the high-level amputation consent form and set her trap: tricking him into signing away all his property, luring Chloe into a loan shark trap, and livestreaming his whole "medical miracle" of standing up and then falling off a cliff. In the end, Jason truly became disabled, one of his parents died and the other went to prison, and Chloe went to prison in debt. Elena took everything back and flew to Provence to start a brand-new life.
