Emily was adopted and raised by the Sterling family — a choice they made entirely to lay claim to the enormous inheritance her biological parents left her. To pry that fortune loose, she was pressured into marrying Robert, the Sterlings' only son, only to walk in on him tangled up with his mistress on their wedding night.
Numb and disillusioned, she met Alexander, a magnetic man in a crimson outfit, at a downtown nightclub, planning to have a casual fling and use it to have the child she craved. She had no clue he was the incognito heir to New York's wealthiest dynasty: someone who had nursed a quiet, years-long crush on her ever since young Emily stood up for him when they were children.
After the Sterlings' endless calculated schemes and cruel plots to break her, Emily — armed with the truth about her past, and unexpectedly pregnant — decides to turn the tables. She joins forces with Alexander to expose their lies, reclaim her birthright, and bring the ruthless family to justice in a glitzy, high-stakes gilded revenge showdown.
