After an accident makes Caroline the unwitting killer of William’s father, she takes him in and raises him as her own for ten years, their silent bond deepening into love. Years later, William discovers the truth—orchestrated by a hidden enemy—and is torn between vengeance and the love he cannot erase. As outside forces manipulate their pain, they are caught in a cycle of hurt, betrayal, and irresistible longing. In the end, the fiercest hate may be the only proof that their love was ever real.
