After her mother's death, Lily is taken in by the Sinclair family and falls for Victor·Sinclair, her stepfather in name. To break free from the dangerous Cross family and keep Lily safe, Victor coldly pushes her into an arranged marriage with the Reed family, making her believe she is nothing more than his plaything and bargaining chip. Humiliated, betrayed, and dragged into a deadly power game, Lily decides to run from him for good. But when danger closes in again and again, Victor can no longer hide his love. He tears apart the engagement, reveals the truth, and declares to the world that Lily was never his forbidden mistake. She is the only woman he will ever marry.
